#VolumeFriday Issue 57

Happy new year #VolumeFriday-ers! Hope you are all excited about the New Year! 2017 is going to be the year of games (well...I'm starting that saying and hopefully it catches on). I know Mike is focusing on some new ideas and as soon as we have information on that, we'll be posting here!

Talking about new games, I thought I'd share a couple of games that I'm excited about seeing in 2017! Let me know if there are others you are looking forward to seeing.

Cuphead, from studio MDHR, is a classic run and gun very focused on boss battles that takes completely from 1930s animation and audio styles (ie. hand drawn and inked).Whilst probably the furthest thing from Volume, I'm excited about the renewal of this beautiful aesthetic and run and guns are always a bunch of fun. Available mid 2017 on Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam.

Zelda Breath of the Wild

The much anticipated game from Nintendo has Zelda fans screaming in anticipation. I'm screaming too! Looks like the new one has more exploration, more than 100 shrines of trials and  the release date will be the same as the Nintendo Switch

What Remains of Edith Finch

This one wont be for thee kiddies, but it is a very interesting concept. A first person perspective, the game follows Edith Finch last of her name digging for more information on her cursed family. A collection of short stories, you see the demise of each of the Finches through time. Coming out in Spring 2017 on PC and PlayStation.
